Impressions
As I arrived at the entrance of Ryokan Katsutaro, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who showed me their collection of bikes available for hire. It was as if I was picking a horse for a race, each bike more sleek and agile than the last. I chose a sleek, black road bike with thick tires, ready to take on the hills of Tokyo. With the wind in my face and the sun on my back, I set off to explore the city in a different way.
After just a few days of cycling, my clothes were beginning to show signs of wear. Thankfully, Ryokan Katsutaro had a well-equipped laundry service that looked after everything from my cycling gear to my casual wear. It was like having a personal butler, ensuring that I was always looking my best, even whilst cycling. I continued to ride through the city, knowing that my clothes were always being taken care of, no matter how much dirt and sweat they encountered.
As I rode further afield, I realized that there was so much more of Tokyo to explore. I decided to change up my cycle routine and tried out the mountain bikes available to rent. The rugged terrain and steep inclines challenged me, but with so much support from the Katsutaro staff, I felt empowered to tackle the trails. It was like riding with a personal coach, encouraging me to push further and harder than ever before.
As my time at Ryokan Katsutaro came to a close, I had grown as a cyclist and had experienced Tokyo in a whole new way. The cycle hire and laundry services had made me feel like a true explorer, able to conquer any challenges that came my way whilst always looking my best. I left with a newfound sense of adventure that would stay with me for years to come.
